Confusion Arises in Beery Court Decision

New disturbing information about Jere Beery’s Motion for Consideration of his finial divorce decree seems to contradict earlier reports of victory. According to Attorney at Law, Ike Hudson of Newnan Georgia, Mr. Beery’s Motion for Reconsideration was dismissed – not the finial divorce decree. In an email to Mr. Beery, Mr. Hudson states, “The case was on for a status hearing on 12/07/2004 and based on the failure to prosecute the motion for a new trial and/or a Motion for Reconsideration your Motion was dismissed and the ruling of Judge Keeble now stands”. Apparently, since Beery’s attorney, John “Jack” Nebl didn’t show up in court, the Motion Nebl filed on Beery’s behalf was dismissed.
Attorney at Law, Jack Nebl agreed to take the Beery case Pro Bono in April of 2004, and is listed as the attorney of record on the Motion filed in 2004. “I was never notified of the December 7th court date, or I would have been there”, Beery claimed. “I have been calling Nebl’s office for months and he has not returned any of my calls,” Beery added.
Jere Beery has pledged to be jailed before honoring a 2004 court order in which Georgia Superior Court Judge Alan Keeble awarded Beery’s ex-wife $24,000 from his VA disability compensation. “If these new reports are true, I will turn myself into jail some time in the near future,” Beery stated. “After all, I must be a criminal, and criminals must be put away,” He added.
Jere Beery apparently has no recourse at this point. His opportunity to appeal his finial divorce decree has gone up in smoke. “I can’t help but feel betrayed. I think local Georgia politics sabotaged my case,” Beery concluded.
Jere Beery has terminated Jack Nebl’s representation as of today.
Jack Nebl could not be reached for comment.
